I would love to bring in Major Applewhite to coach the Tigers. Yes he's very young, but has experience at major universities and is a brilliant mind. Also, maybe more unlikely, Will Muschamp. You can't help but to love his enthusiasm and passion for the game. Always has his guys fired up and ready to play.

this would be ironic...Tiger fans welcoming a coach that their lord and savior just fired 2 years ago for being mostly clueless

Wow, I love to see the outstanding football minds on this board sometimes.

To the jackass who reads into too many rumors about him being fired at Bama, here's a link for you moron....
LINK
He never even had complete control of the offense their, didn't even get to run his offense. And he left Bama for another school.

I didn't necessarily say head coach, not yet anyways, but you idiots who don't believe Applewhite can run an offense are not well informed.

From NFL:

Mike Shannahan
Bill Cowher
Jimmy Johnson
Jeff Fisher
John Gruden

From College:

Can't name a sure bet to compete w/ Saban/Meyer right now. Just about anyone would be a risk.

I don't think Saban thinks he is clueless, I think Saban has a different offensive philosophy than Major. major is a good coach but he is just young.

Yes both most Bama fans after La Monroe, Miss St and Auburn that year would disagree with their head coach. Not no but hell no to this hire.

Nick "from-the-ground-up" Saban.

Sorry, someone had to say it.

On what basis do you say he has a brilliant mind?

Not saying he's dumb but he's had fairly limited success. Flop as OC. I guess he's doing OK at UT coaching Colt McCoy, who was good in 07, great in 08 and took a slight step back this year.

Didn't he get busted for fricking a coed or something? I think that was supposed to be the only good thing he did as HC.
