to Les Miles, how is he when he's not being recorded on tape or video, not talking to a reporter, or addressing a group in a more formal setting? I'm wondering if he's just a relaxed normal guy who speaks clearly and communicates his ideas easily to the other person, or when you talk to him are constantly trying to figure out what the hell he just said? I'm guessing the former, I mean how/why would he have ever gotten any head coaching job, until LSU his record wasn't exactly stellar. You'd think he'd come in and just absolutely wowed Skip and the rest of the interviewers (if there were any). The Les Miles we've know at LSU couldn't talk his way out of a wet paper sack. That said, I like the guy, good coach.

I've spoken with him. He seemed like a normal guy and was well spoken. In addition, he was very nice and engaging with my family.

I was seeing patients at Children's hospital in '07 when he came to visit. I watched him interact with so many people and even had a brief conversation with him myself. He is NOTHING like he is in his interviews.

Normal guy. I think he is just really obsessed over being careful with his words in public, which causes what you see.

Same here. When he is speaking on camera or with a microphone in his face, I think he tries to measure every word. One on one, he is very comfortable and articulate in a conversation.

You would not believe it's the same guy. Articulate, interesting, and very sharp

I lived in Southgate when him and his family were living there. The entire family was very friendly and genuine. Also spoke to him outside Lod Cook the Sunday after a game and he was once again a class act.

in college, I waited on him and his family a couple of times.

He's just a normal, genuinely nice person.

I never understood this association with his public speaking abilities and his coaching abilities. You think Vince Lombardi gave two shits about how he was perceived in the press.

I'd rather have Les than Saban who does a poor job disguising the fact that he HATES dealing with the press. He was at his worst in Miami trying to explain why his team was mediocre at best.

Yeah, I have met him at work several times. He is a very nice guy and takes the time to talk to you. He did pull up one day listening to Young Jeezy.

I've seen him at Gridiron many times. You wouldnt believe its the same guy. Charismatic, relaxed, funny, great story teller, engaging, tons of personality.....almost comical the way he performs in front to the media.

People assume he is the same guy behind closed doors. Are you people the same in front of your worst critics as you are with your closest friends and family?

I met him at a Charity function where he invited kids to the Football Operations center. He was great with the kids and genuinely attentive to all of them.

Think he's changed some since winning a national championship. Not necessarily for the worse, but I do miss the "let'er rip" Miles.

Then he needs to stop the silly, high schoolish charade that he currently does with the media.
