Hey everyone going to the Ole Miss game...My friends and I are looking for some great LSU fans to tailgate with before the game. We've never been to Oxford, so we don't know the lay of the land and would love to just hang with some fellow Tiger fans! Also, if anyone could clue me in on the tailgating (alcohol) rules around there (I've heard they are wack) I would def appreciate any info. Please contact myself @ kberrylsu72@hotmail.com. Thanks and !!

There are always lots of Tiger fans behind the outfield of the baseball stadium. We drank beer there, but if you cross the little bridge and head toward the "grove" with said beer, you will be shot on sight. Also, don't miss the "Walk of Champions", but don't ask them "champions of what?" because they get their feelings hurt.

I have made the last three trips to Oxford. This will be number four. There will be lots of LSU fans out there.

As far as drinking, the Oxford cops are assholes. Drinking is not allowed on campus. The a-hole cops will make you dump your drink. And if and when they tell you to get rid of your drink, just dump it on the ground. If you try to finish it they will cuff you. They may not take you to jail, but they will put the cuffs on.

Thanks for the info guys! Keep it coming...I need all the help I can get. We are just a group of 4 30 somethings looking to have a little fun comparable to what we do every Sat in Death Valley!

Also, where are some good places to park, not too far from campus, and relatively easy to get in/out after the game?

The biggest thing is not to walk around with a beer can or bottle like we do at Tiger Stadium. Ask around. The people are usually pretty nice and will clue you in as to what and where you can drink. I actually tried to sneak a couple of beers toward the stadium for the walk to the game and got stopped by the campus police. He gave me the choice to drink them or pour them out. I chugged them.

Can you park behind the baseball stadium or do you have to walk from a lot?

We parked right behind the left field wall in a nice paved parking lot.

Keep your drink in a cup and you will be fine. If ya'll are being loud and obnoxious and have on purple and gold, the cops will give you a hard time.

Welcome to Ole Miss (once you get there)- we hope you find your experience here to be very enjoyable. If you like BBQ, the Rib Cage is on the Square and serves savory cuisine.

I will be there for www.DownSetGeaux.com. If any LSU fans have parties going on, let us know, we'd love to take pictures, hand out cards, and record any great LSU memories or stories you may have. E-mail me tigertailgating@gmail.com if you'd like us to swing by.
