Still not sure why they have USC jacked up at number 4, at best they should be 10 - and certainly not in front of LSU. Hopefully after Oregon hammers them, they'll be out of the way for good this year.

You think they're positioning USC for a run to the NC? (Just in case)

I think Iowa is beatable... and I was certainly pulling for Mich State in that game...

BUT...

it is a shame that Iowa is not ranked right behind Texas at #4 ... they deserve it. Wins at Penn State, at Wisconsin, and at Michigan State...undefeated...power conference. There is no reason to not have them right behind and/or right there with Florida, Alabama, and Texas.

A 1-loss USC, a Boise State team that has one quality win, a TCU team that has one decent win at BYU, and a Cincinnati team that has played no one do not belong ahead of Iowa at this point.

USC is giving everyone a perfect example of what people are talking about when they say "the BCS is bullshite".

I'm just waiting for those handful of first place votes to go to USC.

USC doesn't bother me as much as TCU and Boise St. USC, Florida and Bama all could potentially lose in the next few weeks and then you have Boise in the top 3 possible 2, I mean come on.

I agree with you. Iowa, although unimpressive, has quality wins. Their real question mark is the Ohio State game. There is no doubt in my mind that if Iowa and Texas would go undefeated, Iowa would get in over Texas. The computer polls would get them there. Also, pollsters would look back and say the Big 12 was weak this year.

In regards to USC, they lost at Washington while we lost at home. The quality of team that we played was greater in our loss as opposed to theirs. Give it time, USC will fall again.

LSU beats the team USC loses to but is ranked behind SC, and a good ways behind them to, there is always a lot of favoritism shown to SC.

TCU looks legit. Boise really doesn't play anyone.

Anyone ever catch Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio? He routinely ignores talking about anyone that doesn't have a substantial share of the media market - AND he pompously admits this!

The problem is that this is the same mentality that influences voting - hence the USC plague.

The positive is that LSU has the luxury of playing and hopefully beating 2 #1 teams twice in the same season - which by all rights, will vault LSU into the NC game - assuming they win all their other games.

Iowa doesn't play a conference championship game. I don't see the polls favoring Iowa.

Thats's a fact.... I'm ignoring the polls because they're irrelevant. If we win out, we are in the NC game, regardless of what any of the others do.
