This is why people are upset. We didn't have a QB last year, nor one this year and, while Shep is going to be a versatile playmaker, we're not sold on him being an everydown QB.

So basically, we have had no QB, we have no QB and we're concerned we won't have a legit QB for 2010 either.

Without a QB you can't win.

How hard is it to get a blue chip QB to commit to a top 5 program? And then develop him?

I have heard some good things about Garrett from MS!!

we struggled last year. 2 years in a row hurts.

No if someone thinks that than they are living in the land of OZ.

We went 3-5 in the SEC last year and it looks like at minimum 3 losses possibly 4 losses this year. That is a downward trend and will slowly take us out of the upper tier of the SEC.

the negatigers concern is that lsu slipping from an elite status that Saban put us on. That is my concern as well especially with 3-4 losses this year. The one thing I am really concerned about is that this could be the 1st year since 2001 that LSU could not finish top 2 in the west over a 2 year period. The writing on the wall for that to happen is there.

You have to blame that on coaching not either properly assessing talent or properly developing talent.

Let's see ... last year Lee struggled, so everyone called for Jefferson. This year, Jefferson is struggling, so everyone's calling for Shepherd or Garrett. If this continues, next year we'll be breaking in a new QB for the 3rd straight year ... that's how teams decline rapidly. This coaching staff needs to decide who our QB is this year and for the future and build an offense around that player, whether its Lee or JJ. I don't think I can stand another year breaking in a new QB.

Just STFU. That's not what most of us are saying idiot. We are saying that with the talent we continue to recruit year in and year out, that this team shouldn't look so bad. It should look like a team that has a chance to compete for a NC, not necesarily win it every year. We are far from looking like that. And it shouldn't be like that.

Try borderline mediocre.
