RYAN PERRILLOUX

Perrilloux being kicked off the team was the best thing that happened for the rest of the SEC. The kid is at J'ville St., grant it he is facing mch weaker opponents than he would here, but he also is playing with far less talent surrounding him.

Player Comp Att Yds Cmp% Yds/A TD Int Rating
Perrilloux 71 116 1279 61.2 11.03 15 1 194.8
Jefferson 91 145 1016 62.8 7.01 7 3 133.4

RP also has 175 yds rushing and 3 TD's.
This is the reason why our offense is struggling. I'm not arguing whether or not he should have been kicked off because I stand by Miles' decision. To assume that LSU could dismiss a QB with his talent and not miss a beat is very flawed thinking.

Didn't we all know what would happen when Miles kicked him off the team.

I was hoping we wouldn't have experienced what we have over the past 2 seasons but the facts speak for themselves....

I do think Miles made the right decision in booting RP....painful football wise...but right.

I was not posting because I want RP back or because I think Miles made the wrong decision. I'm just stating that right or wrong, it is what it is. Last year we all hoped coming into the season that our QB's could manage games and that it would be enough to be successful. That went real well.

This year some thought that JJ would be able to manage the game and make just enough plays when called upon that the offense would good enough. We ALL had questions about our D. From the 1st game we saw that the offense was not clicking and that the D seemed marginally better.

Today as it stands, the D is much improved from last year. The offense is attrocious. JJ seems like a good kid but lets be honest, he is doing no more than what was expected. This kid is more of a great athlete than a great passer. Mallet sat at last year and is tearing it up this year. There are other sophomore QB's but I'm too lazy to look it up. It will be a couple more years before we have a QB that inspires confidence with our passing game.

in hindsight, if RP WAS still here last year, maybe we win a few more games than we actually did......leading miles to believe the defense wasn't as big a problem as it was. therefore, we still have you know who's running our D this year....then RP graduates this year and we're still stuck with mutt and jeff. the decision about RP was the right move then, and is still the right move now. and i know you weren't questioning it, just looking at it from a different angle.

I for one was pissed. At that point, he should have kept RP on the team. People that argue that he would have brought the team down, I think he did this already. He had three incidents that I know of.

The fake ID at the casino
The investigation into counterfeiting
The fight outside of a club/restaurant in BR

Miles should have kicked him out beforehand or just kept him. I know, I will get flamed.

Would've been a good arguement last year. GET OVER IT. It's been two years and this is college football. We should have a guy ready or at least capable of running something more than a high school playbook without spotting the other team 7 points each game.

I am over it, I was just answering the question. People can say that it had no affect, but it does until next year, as he would have been gone. Of course we have had more defections on the O line the QB and that hurt us more.

Such a classy individual, I remember with Matt Mauck did the same thing at Ruth's Chris.
