I think what's most interesting to me is that the very same people who were on this post last year calling for the removal of Lee are now the loudest proponents of bringing him back. It's absolutely ludicrous. There are two indisputable facts that everyone here needs to accept:

1. Jarret Lee may have been a Freshman last year, but that doesn't change the fact that he threw 16 Int's, 13 TD's, and a total of 1,873 yards. If you average those numbers over 13 games, it equates to 144 yards per game, 1.2 INT's per game, and exactly 1 TD per game. So when you have nothing else to logically guide you but facts, how in the hell can you argue for putting him back in the starting position? What brilliance do you have to offer that can counter statistics that are this telling?

2. Jordan Jefferson is a phenomenal athlete, and a proven winner. He was 21-0 as a starter in high school, was first team all state, and led his team to the 5-A state championships as a senior. He is quick, and has a very strong arm. He does, however, have much to learn. He needs to check down receivers before committing. He needs to see the entire field, as opposed to focusing on one WR or one section. He needs to develop stronger leadership skills. He needs to better manage his internal throwing clock. But these are all very teachable skills. Athleticism is not.

The lack of productivity we're seeing out of Jefferson right now is due to poor coaching - poor QB coaching, and poor O-Coordinator coaching. It has nothing to do with his ability, athleticism, or drive. If the right changes can be made, and the kid can actually be guided by the coaches, he'll get the job done.

But in the interim, stop arguing that the solution is to revert back to a PROVEN mistake. Lee is undoubtedly a good kid, but that doesn't make him the best option for leading that offense. Look at the facts...they never lie.

Uhhhh, where does LSU rank in offense in the SEC?

Yep. Facts don't lie.

But, let's do what we did last year...until it's too late...like last year?

We had a better Offense when Chad Loup was QB. I'm as ready to end the nonsense as anyone on this board.

So it is ok for Jefferson to "learn" but not ok for Lee to "learn"?

Hmm, let me see - I quoted facts, and made a conclusion based on those facts. How exactly is that biased?

Coaching is one of the issues....you can ask Matt Flynn that as he's said that he's had to learn things at GB camp that should have been taught while in college. I know...i need to find a link.

Ryan Leaf was amazing in college.

Great job posting stats if he would have played 13 games...but he didn't.

So basically, JJ can learn but JL can't?

I don't care who is the QB but that was a pretty shitty argument.

Incorrect facts and a few opinions but don't let that get in the way.

Someone refresh my memory here. Didn't Miles work Ryan Perrilloux into the game week by week? It worked well enough at the time.

Why not a second look at Lee and Shepard?

Jarret Lee only started 8 games last year FWIW, so your stats are a bit skewed.

Do you give Lee Auburn since he played 3 quarters?
Do you give Lee all of Ole Miss since he played 1 quarter?

Do you only count the games he started and finished?

Because if anyone points out last year we were 55th in total Offense vs. 108th this year, you will blame coaches, o-line, anyone except the QB. Only real way to be objective is have JL or RS play QB with same lineup this year as JJ and add up the stats.

Also, I wish people would stop talking about where we ranked last year in offense. We were giving up so many points on defense that we had to throw the ball a lot more.

You fricking biased idiot. You took JLs stats over 8 ish games and averaged them to 13. Way to present the facts! But even with your bias, JL "averaged" as much as JJ is this season!

We had a top-tier SEC offense last year. That is a fact. This year, we suck. What was the biggest change?

And tell me, JJ's dad, how many wins do you get in college for being 21-0 in high school. What a douche!

Hey JJ, you are a little sensitive about this aren't you.

So you believe there is absolutetly no chance Lee can/has improved? What is it like going thru life as a narrow-minded moron?

Good post. Switching QBs will not solve the issue. It may create others. The problem is lack of coaching. Crowton and Miles need to do a better job of teaching Jefferson. They need to teach Jefferson how to run when something is not there. They need to teach the offensive line how to block.

Most importantly the coaches need to utilize the talent that is wasting away on the bench.

The reason for the struggles is the poor coaching.
