My girlfriend works at Charlotte Russe in the mall and saw JJ in the store with a girl buying shoes. During his time in the store she said a middle aged man came up to Jefferson and started criticizing and insulting him.

She texted me his comments and one stood out:
"Playing Quarterback ain't that hard to play son. You got to learn from your mistakes, first of all. Quit doing the same thing over and over again. LSU needs more than that for a quarterback, and if you ain't gonna deliver you need to get the hell out."

Why would you do this to a 19 year old kid? It makes me sick that someone would go out of their way to blame Jefferson.
I realize he isn't the best quarterback and needs to work on things, but does he really deserve that?

No one deserves that. But if you play at a major institution and struggle, it's what you're going to be faced with. Doesn't make it right, just makes it the truth.

That is as bad as LSU fans last year telling Lee to leave the school, etc.

Fans need to step back and take some perspective about what these guys are doing. It is not easy to go out and play QB or any other position. Fans do not realize this is a job for most of them as it requires many hours out of week.
Sure they get a free college experience but it is not worth it if people are going to come up to you in public and harass you as a 19 year old.

First, that was totally inappropriate if it actually occurred.

Criticism should never be personal. It should only be constructive. Also, that person has no business delivering the criticism to the player. That's the coaches jobs.

I pray this is complete bullshite. If not, the fact that we have heard nothing on the news indicates that JJ is much more of an adult than this supposed fan.

The blame is a team thing, not one player is responsible for a loss. The game of football is funny as one bounce of ball, one missed tackle, one flag can change the outcome of a play.

So many people forget that or do not understand it.

Come on guys, it's football in the south. I understand Jefferson isn't the QB for the Dallas Cowboys but there is something special about being the starting QB at LSU, youngest I might add. I'm sure he understands the bad comes with the good.

Not cool to say this to a 19 year old young man who has to work in a scheme devised by Miles and Crowton which obviously does not play to his strenghts.

Maybe he'll use it as motivation.

Yeah...exactly what he needs...a middle-aged jackass trying to tell him how to quarterback. I thought Dinardo had left town?

Being in a schizophrenic offense doesn't help...
