got a nice pay raise approved this past week. And so how did he justify that last night? When Fla was in the spread, no one knew the angle of attack. I especially liked the option to the friggin tight end of all people on their first drive. Tebow didn't throw much, but when he did, it was effective as the TE was open all night. The point is that with all of our allegedly high powered athletes [and I will not start yet another "where was Russell Sheppard" thread), there was no imagination on offense at all. One throw downfield to Lafell. It's not on all JJ. The play calling was abysmal.

Agree. LSU needs/deserves a new Offensive Coordinator.

talk to his immediate supervisor, he holds the cards and pulls the stings during the games.

Has nothing to do with the OC. Sorry fellas. Bitch and moan all you want. LSU has a Soph QB and it's blatantly obvious.

I still cant figure out WHY do we still run the option to the short side of the field figuring we can gain anything...

Yes, after all Crowton has basically NO responsibility.

Are you kidding? There are sophmore QBs all around the country that are having success. Quit kidding yourself that this is anything but a coaching problem. Lee, Hatch, JJ - I think even you can see this pattern. Lack of effective development and horrible -absolutely horrible- play calling.

But Leslie promised the whole world RS would see the field more and more as the season goes on.

Uhh, I guess Crowton overrules Miles?

tell that to all the other frosh / soph qbs that are worth and have been worth a damn.

ex: terrell pryor, sam bradford, tim tebow, etc.

being a soph doesnt really cut it as an excuse. what if we have the next great young QB sitting on our bench cause of our coach's ideology?

I think Les needs to sit down with Crowton and tell him that if he doesnt improve they are both gone.

As I said in another post:

I do not put all blame on JJ and the OL. I put blame on Miles and Crowton. There are better schemes I believe that can help JJ, and why not use J. Lee for a series or two to mix it up?

There's a saying... do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. It's called stupidity.

IMO, there needs to be changes in the Offensive coaching staff at years' end.

This is getting ridiculous.

Put Russel Shepard on the field with Jarret Lee and eliminate the pick six because RS will run down anyone.

Actually we DON'T run the option... it's more of a "theres a guy tackling me, you take it" scheme.

Something doesn't seem right, Crowton made that scrub from the Bears look good when he was OC is Chicago. At BYU he seemed to have some high scoring teams. Last year the offense scored a bunch but the D was awful.

Why is it this year there is little creativity in the offense? I don't know but I tend to think this scheme looks like it comes from Miles more than Crowton.

JJ is not developed. Whose fault is that?

The scheme we run shows his weakness at reading defenses and getting rid of the ball quickly. Whose fault is that?

The O-line can't block 3 guys at times. Whose fault is that?

3rd and Goal on the 3 yd line and my 10 year old says," I hope they don't call the handoff to Scott on the left side. They do that everytime and it is getting old." Who called that?

Having watch Crowton call plays at La. Tech, I guarantee you that was not his first option on that play. Hell, I don't even remember seeing him run plays in that formation.
