How come we never run this screen play anymore?

At about the 1:05 mark. It seems like we used to run that all the time, and I don't recall seeing it yet this year.

Maybe Jefferson is good at throwing screens. You've seen how badly his swing passes are.
Maybe the o-line isn't good at blocking on WR screens. It was definitely a staple of the LSU offense the past several years, and it always worked.

Let's just say that touch passes aren't a great part of JJ's game right now, simply going off of visual evidence

Meh its the Bubble Screen, and JJ has been doing horrible on plain swings from the running back. You miss throw one of those, its 6 easy.

I think the swing pass is tougher for JJ and most QBs. On the screen the receiver is coming back to the QB in a relatively straight line. The swing is a looping route away from the QB.

A swing is harder on the QB, the bubble screen is harder on the receiver.
