I remember that year. When Florida was in the picture, I kept on thinking how much better our team was than theirs.

your just trying to make excuses for the poorly coached LSU team

everyone knows other coaches blow every team they play out by 20

I entertained the same comparison a few days ago.

However, I don't want to irrationally get my hopes up.

(Obviously, I am praying that we can somehow replicate what that 2006 Florida team did.)

Man they should have fired that Meyer douchebag when they had the chance.

Thank you for this post. I have thought about that team as well as the Ohio State team of 2002 and keep comparing our Tigers to those them. Just keep winning.

2006 Florida team had good team chemistry and developed a swagger during the year, I just don't see this with this team.

No they didn't. People kept expecting them to lose every week.

You didn't talk to my Florida friends. Most of them expected to lose every week and none of them expected to win against Ohio State. I kept telling them they would win big time in that game and they did.

uh no. Meyer and Leak didn't get along all year plus Arky had them on the ropes in the SECCG.

Who are you? Nostradamus?

I don't expect this team to make a NC run thats not my point but the chicken littles on this board are sadistic freaks who like to do nothing but complain

the blow out did surprise me and really sold me on the fact that our conference was much like the AFC North that year.

After the first 4 games, LSU has the 105th ranked offense out of 120 teams. That has to improve to have a chance at beating any of the harder teams that are left.

I was just thinking about this this morning too. I'm not prepared to say we can duplicate their success, but I don't think we are as bad as a lot of people are making us out to be.

are you hop skipin over all the french qtr bragging about our bottom rankings in total offense and total defense in the SEC. wake up McFly. 3-5 in the SEC last year, and I see more of the same this year with one less lost this year. Watch the Bama team year and take notes on what a complete team looks like. Oh btw we have similar personnel the difference is coaching.

This team could totally do that.

We could continue to improve incrementally so as to be just a little bit better than each team we play.
