This is why Sam Bradford was an idiot for coming back to college.

Sure fire #1 pick? Take the money and run to the house. Every time.

And BTW, if you are an OU fan and you are one of the idiots making threats on facebook and twitter to the BYU linebacker that hurt him... you my friend deserve to have your balls stuck in a vice.

I know this may come as a shock to some people, but money isn't everything.

I agree with you.
But, this is what makes College Football > the NFL.

He's still going to be a top 5 pick, regardless of what happened Saturday. I don't see the issue here.

It's only a couple weeks. No big deal really in terms of draft stock.

It's not like he was a lock to be #1 overall last year anyway with Stafford clearly being more physically talented

Agree. I'll never forget this quote by Joakim Noah of Florida.

"People say, 'You could have been the Number 1 pick in the NBA draft! Why did you come back?'" says Joakim Noah. "I'm not in a situation where I need money to put food on the table, and I just feel like it would be that more special for me and my teammates to stay as a group. There's nothing like the college environment. My stock might drop- and it probably will with Greg Oden around- but it's not about that."

to be fair, I don't think he will be out long enough for it to effect his draft status. If he is the number one pick this year, who is to say he won't get a bigger contract then Stafford did?

Link?

Maybe he goes 2 behind Stafford. Maybe he goes 1 next year.
