after winning the sec in 2001,we went on the road and got our asses handed to us by virginia tech.following a national championship in 2003, we were lucky to pull out a win against a mediocre oregon state team at home. yet in 2009 we travel across the country and get a win and the season is over and our team sucks. i just don't get some of the rantards.

Nick Saban coached those games.

Only Nick Saban's blowout wins are recalled by the common rantard.

retarded-like ranting that the LSU football program is doomed based on NOT blowing UW out on Saturday is one example that comes to mind.

Notice how both of those examples happened after SEC/National Championship seasons. For some inexplicable reason, we're on the verge of taking two consecutive seasons off.

we didn't forget, it's just that what happened in 2001 is irrelevant to what's happening now in 2009.

I agree, but.....

What bothers me is the attitude of the team mainly the coaches. Basically we have not made any changes in game philosphy after last years mediocre season. If you have a bad year and change what you did wrong it is productive. If you do the same thing that made you mediocre (play calling play style) over and over and expect a different result you are insane.

This is true. Its also true that LSU lost five games last year and isn't coming off a national title like it was in the two examples given by the original poster.

Please recap the 2003 and 2007 NC seasons with scores along with the seasons that followed to support your point. Otherwise, for some inexplicable reason, you are one prognosticating retard rantard.

so a loss in 2002 is better than a win in 2009. gotcha

Who said that? I think what people are saying, and surely you'd agree with, is that a loss in 2002 has no relevance on a win in 2009.

I guess I have to explain it to everyone again.

1. Playing poorly in game is a GOOD sign.
2. If you are not happy with some aspect of a poorly played game then you are calling the season over and want the coaches fired.
3. It is impossible for a fan to be proLSU and not like even one thing that happened at Washington.

Just the facts as presented by some people on here. Not what I believe.

Where it comes from... one example of MANY!

I or someone else post that what happened Saturday night is not a good indicator. Then that post gets hammered by people pointing out that we almost lost to this team or that team and went on to a national championship. So obviously they think it is a good sign otherwise they wouldn't jump your shite for saying it is a bad sign.

I think everyone knows the game was far from perfect, but there is no reason to give up on the rest of the season because of that performance. There is also no reason to declare the coaches need to be fired.
