kid is a typical middle linebacker... lays the wood and did a nice job dropping back in coverage.. The linebackers made alot of tackles after positive gain. Gotta get to the ball a little quicker.

If you leave the pick six out, he STILL had a really good game.

Cutrera def surprised me. I always heard hype around him since hes been here but hasnt shown me much. Hopefully he can continue his smart LB play for the rest of the season.

Paterson...I mean Peterson and Cutrera were the stars on D last night and looked like the only Tiger's who showed up on the day they taught WRAPPING up in practice.

Both of those guys were awesome... sideline to sideline a couple of times.

Peterson had alot of opportunities for tackles, not too sure why he was thrown on so much.

I find it amazing how a couple months ago people were saying he is the weak link and he shouldn't see the field. Just reading all the posts on here this morning make me embarrassed to be an LSU fan. We played a much improved team last night with a GOOD coach and you guys are acting like a bunch of babies. Shut up, enjoy the win and realize that it is the first game of the season. There is no preseason like the NFL and the only way to work out these kinks is to watch film and find out what they did wrong and fix it. Washington is a good team and their QB is pretty damn good as well.

when he was thrown at it was short passes, and they endede right there with a strong tackle,

but when they did try him deep he almost picked it off

The play where he grabbed the receiver by the ankle and slung him to the ground was amazing.
