Has he gotten a chance at punt return? I believe he would be an awesome kickoff/punt returner. Trindon is fast and Chad is reliable but i'd love to see more break aways and i believe Ford can get it done. Thoughts?

IMO, if a true frosh is back there then it will ne mo' Claiborne or drayton Calhoun. Unlikely that Ford is back there.

IF you are looking for "breakaways" why would you want ford back there?

I watched him play and almost every time a team actually kicked him the ball he did something amazing. I don't doubt Morris/Drayton being good but i'm willing to bet Ford was much more dangerous on kickoff returns.

Would you want Charles Scott returning kickoffs?

In HS maybe, but just as KW is bland back there, I would suspect Ford would be too. Just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more. I saw him in HS as well and his rushing ability is only surpassed by his return skills. I believe, however, that a frosh has little or no chance at returns.

Ford was much more explosive and elusive than KW. Now i do agree that maybe a freshman should not be returning kicks but i also believe that our KOR/PR can improve. Ford to me is the answer, like that other guy although Ford was an awesome RB, he was more dangerous at return!

I know it wasn't college, but I actually saw Chuck run a punt and a kickoff back for TDs in a HS game against OCS. It was pretty unbelievable watching this LB/RB tear up punt and kickoff teams! Of course, he's put on much weight since then.

I went to about 5 of his games his senior year. Saw him as a sophmore and 1 game as a junior.

Return game on HS much different than in college. How fast is Ford?? Calhoun and his 4.37 is the future at PR and KR. Ford will be a beast though!!

Kevin Faulk didn't have elite straight line speed, and look how he did as a returner. Not to say Ford could be even a decent college returner, but watching his running style he would make a better returner than say Randle, who was suggested as a returner around here a few days ago.

If any freshman is returning kickoffs, it will be Drayton Calhoun.

Trust me.

DD was not 4.4 but was always benificial for your offense. Ford has vision and explosive speed, which is needed on returns. A 4.37 40 better come with quickness, vision and hands. Ford definately has hands!

Ford is going to be a great back, but I don't see him being shifty enough to return kicks. He is fast but he is a pretty big guy.

russell shepard dude.

I would hate to rish him on returns, but if you want anyone on the team to do something special with the ball in their hands, its shepard. His cutting ability and vision are jaw dropping!
