Football history??? When it really mattered. I have to say the 2003 SECGC against UGA!! ALL the players knew that the media was saying that the better team did NOT win the game earlier in the year. UGA had NO CHANCE IN THAT GAME!!!

Close second. The NC game a few weeks later against OU. They avg. like 600 yds per game and LSU held them to 152 TOTAL YARDS!!!! Boy that Saban was GREAT!!!!!

2007 Va Tech

there were more dominant performances, but Va Tech ended the season in the Orange Bowl, unlike some other opponents LSU killed

Aside from the Saban comment, I think I have to agree with you PJ. I thought that there was no way in hell we beat Georgia twice in one season. And when we dominated them like we did I was in disbelief. But it was a giddy disbelief.

God Defense was fun back then. I agree with that being the most dominant defensive performance.

07 Va Tech. They had the top overall defense two straight years and LSU put up over 600 yards on them and held them to around 50 yards in the first half.

Don't kid yourself, it's not like he wasn't. He didn't say Miles wasn't.

How, exactly, is a 21-14 victory more dominating than a 48-7 victory over an eventual Orange Bowl participant? We outgained VT by nearly 500 yards for Christ's sake.

Saban is a great coach. I was just referring to the fact that you just had to throw that in there. On the Rant that is like poking a flaming stick into a hornet's nest.

That Tech would have played for the National Title had they not scheduled us. WE SKULL DRAGGED THE HOKIES in that game. My vote goes for the OU game, but to me that Tech game is up there as well.

I'd have to throw out that Peach Bowl vs Miami (2005?) as a candidate. Miami was still good then. They were favored. They still haven't recovered as a football program from the arse whipping ole Les meted out that day.

I realize that there were more important wins - SEC championships, NCs - but I'm still not sure I ever saw LSU look better than when they were spanking the living pussy out of Miami that day.

Actually you could nominate any of Les' bowl games

Take away just a couple balls that didn't bounce their way that year and Miami could have easily been in the 2005 BCS National Championship game.

40-3 over that team with our backup QB was nothing short of impressive.

History is a LONG time...Some of the old timers would probably mention the big 1966 Cotton Bowl win over Arkansas...they had the longest winning streak in the country at 22 games when LSU beat them & the Tigers were UNRANKED...

For me it's the Arizona game in 06, they never had a chance. They came out and stomped on the tiger eye and after that the game was over before it even started....sadly for zona fans no. 2 for me is the arizona game in 03.

I remember being at this game and telling my buddy multiple time that I knew we would win but I never imagined we would out right be the shite out of them. I remember Craig Steltz made one of the hardest hits i've ever seen him make in this game.

It was one of the funniest games to watch just for the fact that Va Tech was highly ranked, etc etc.
