It's not like he shot or stabbed someone or worked at a car wash for $27 dollars an hour. Come on guys.

I am not defending anyone here, but how many college football players could get arrested from any team at any time for this exact same thing?

For that matter, how many of you could get arrested for this same thing right now?

True, but they're still just kids. I want to see them make the best decision as well, but this just doesn't always happen. Hopefully he learns from this and has a great career.

How many of you could have gotten caught in college with pot and been arrested for the same thing?

Kids? No. Last time I checked, 18-year-olds could vote. The fact that you were obviously a big dopehead in college doesn't qualify as an excuse for this "kid" or any other one.

That goes for big alcohol heads too--jail them and expel them!

Why attack me? This statement is completely false. I was not a "big dopehead" in college, but I did plenty of things that I look back on as completely stupid. You've never done dumb things that could have gotten you into trouble? Please just stop.

Yes, what he did was stupid. It was illegal, and he deserves whatever punishment comes to him. I was simply stating that this could happen to a disturbing number of college athletes at any time.

I don't think that he should be given the death penalty for this incident, like you seem to. Let's at least give him a chance. Maybe he learns from this. I for one hope he gets his head on straight and makes better decisions in the future. Until he makes a lifestyle out of his bad decisions (like Perrilloux) lets cheer for the kid and hope he uses the ability he has to do great things.

I'm thirty and I fail to see why some of my comments got so far under the skin of a couple of you.

I thought I had made a legitimate point.

GOP, how adult do they seem to you. Considering your avatar, probably not very.
