Not really needed, but since there's no way they would ever change the helmet, it's about the only way they would get the wordmark on the uniform somehow.

I know I complain about there being too many white guys on the team... but that guy is really white.

don't like em. We already have a giant "LSU" on the helmets.

I think this is an appropriate addition to the uniform. Cerainly no worse than any other corporate or organizational logo we're forced to place on our uniforms.

I'm glad it is stitched on. I was thinking it was going to be pressed, and look like shite like on the replicas. It is very clean, and looks very good.

I would also like to add (if it hasn't been said before) that LSU is now the final SEC team to incorporate branding on their jersey.

Alabama has the "A" LINK
Arkansas has "ARKANSAS" in big annoying letters: LINK
Aburn has the small "Auburn" wordmark: LINK
Florida uses the Gator logo: LINK
Georgia uses the 'G' logo: LINK
Kentucky has the annoying big letters: LINK
Ole Miss has annoying 'Ole Miss' wordmark: LINK
Miss State probably has the worst wordmark: LINK
SCarolina has annlying 'CAROLINA': LINK
Tennessee has the 'T': LINK
and Vandy has the 'V' logo: LINK

This change for LSU is actually overdue. The tradition is still there.

I view it as the mole on Cindy Crawford. I think it would look better without it but still d@mn good looking. Plus after a while you won't even notice it.

Good, bad...what it is is unneccessary. I dare anyone to see it isn't. What...the giant LSU on our Big Bird Yellow helmets didn't let viewers know who we were?

I've never understood the need to plaster the team name on the chest like Texas does...ugh.

But yeah...at least it isn't Oregon.
