That is horrible calculations.

Southern Mississippi 7.5% 1.8%
Arizona State 44.1% 24.7%
North Carolina 28.3% 12.4%

Cal State Fullerton 33.6% 19.0%
Arkansas 6.1% 1.6%
Virginia 37.8% 22.3%
Louisiana State 22.4% 10.0%

if this guy knew how to accurately originate sports futures, he would be betting rather than writing a blog.

+1

I took a look at his predictions before the regionals were played. He was nowhere close to predicting USM and Arkansas would have success, much less reach the CWS. He also had East Carolina getting past UNC. The formula he uses is based on runs scored and runs allowed. He's trying to give himself a massive BJ because he had Virginia as the best team in the nation, even though they finished fourth in their division and sixth overall in the ACC. Whatever does or doesn't happen at the CWS, this formula doesn't appear to be any more effective than looking at stats like pitching and batting average, and then trying to predict success for a team.

To say that ASU is the favorite is dumb.
