While the #1 seed of SEC Tourney is great and a goal...

I would much rather be on the other side of the bracket. USC is smoking hot, Bama was on fire until this weekend, and Vandy has deadly pitching.
Give me the other bracket where 3 of the teams have the cylinders falling off right now, lol.
But, I guess if you are the best, you come through either bracket.

People are never happy

Goodness. I just said a preference would be to be in the other bracket. Did I make a comment that I wasn't happy?
Sounds like you got your own issues.

I'm not the negative Nancy, Buckshot.

No, you're the idiot. It's a chat board. Dude just wants to talk about the seeding.

No, but it is obvious you didn't clearly understand the post.
So if I were to pose the question: Who has an easier side of the bracket, LSU or Ole Miss? Your answer would be?
There is nothing negative in the post. I just said I would rather be on the other side with the way the teams are playing. But for your desire to make something out of nothing, spin it however you would like.

Vandy has deadly pitching.
They were swept by Tennessee this past weekend, at home. Their team ERA is 7th in the league. Minor's ERA is around 4.00 and Gray's is well over 5.00. Their bats are 4th in the league in BA and they have the top average hitter (4 guys over .340).

Already beat them in their home stadium. Everyone is on fire after playing Arkansas.

Wow, name calling. You are so much better than me.

It's simple. If you want to be the best, you got to beat the best and not look for a easy road.

We will simply have to out slug Bama. Their bullpen is more suspect than ours.

lsu711..
I get your points, but if you look at how it is going down the stretch it is a bit different. Yes, we beat Bama and USC in their parks, but it has been awhile since those series and both of those teams are playing better. Are we better than both, of course, might point was that the teams streaking towards the end seem to be on our side.
And yes, Vandy isn't overly strong. However they do have two pitchers that can be really good.
Not really a big deal as I was just making an observation. And I would disagree with anyone who things our side of the bracket is not harder and with the "streaking" teams left.

Which is why I made the last comment on my original post.

Eh, I don't think it really matters. Either way Florida would be on the other side. Both Vandy and Alabama are coming off 2 loss weekends to inferior teams. And although I agree that South Carolina is hot right now, so is Ole Miss.
Posted on 5/17/09 at 10:31 am to SouthEndzoneTiger
Yeah, doesn't have much relevance.
I was just more so making a comment that if you took Ole Miss and LSU out of their brackets and asked which one I would rather be dropped in, it would be the top one without hesitation.
Of course, that is saying that now. Any of the teams could get hot and prove me wrong.

You wouldn't switch out LSU and Ole Miss. Florida is the #2. So if LSU switched sides of the bracket, it would be with Florida, meaning we would be on that side of the bracket with Ole Miss.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
Florida got the #2 seed because they won the East and automatically gets that seed?
Florida was 19-11 and Ole Miss was 20-10, so I am not sure how else that would go down.

No you're right. I thought you were just talking in theory, swap #1s and #2s. If you meant had we lost on Saturday, then yeah, we would switch with Ole Miss.
Posted on 5/17/09 at 10:46 am to SouthEndzoneTiger
I got ya. I was more so just saying if we had lost some form of tiebreaker. Just a silly hypothetical on my part, lol.
Either way, you gotta win the games.

I like the #1 seed, simply because now I'll be able to actually watch the games, and won't have to deal with any of that 9 AM nonsense from last year. Just skip oit of work early, and catch the 4 PM start.
Posted on 5/17/09 at 10:51 am to LSU Shreddin
The two teams who win their first two games flip brackets, don't they? So we could end up over there anyway.
