His dad was coached by our recruiting coordinator too, I believe. I'd like this guy and Nelson to finish our LB class out.

I don't think he has any interest whatsoever in USC. Like many recruits, he just wants a coveted USC offer to brag about.

I like that Michael Taylor from Georgia's film better than any of these guys but he is probably a UGA lock unless they piss him off somehow

The article also says he's a Saban fan. He must be a masochist if he wants to be coached by Nicky.

the one definate with Maclin is he will go to a southern school or USC.
someone should let him know it gets cold up in Knoxville.

Depends on how you read it. I think he sounded kind of luke warm about USC. He's going to play football, not tan on the beach. His quotes also mentioned that he's a fan of LSU, thinks their defense will be much improved, and he thinks he can play early.

my reaction to this part of the article was:
If LSU's defense is as improved as we all hope it will be and The Tigers win 10 or 11 games, he is ours.
I feel this way about a lot of the really good recruits. They are in a wait-and-see-how-they-do mode so they will not be committing early.
If we do win big they will come!

Ive been noticing a lot of recruits have been saying they like the new tenn staff, they like saban, etc...
maybe its cause ive never met any of them, but i wouldnt like any of them. i can understand a player wanting to play for their team, but what is there to like?
