I just got finished working a track meet at Thibodaux High School and this kid ran a 10.62 100 meter and 21.86 200 meter electronically timed. He is a sophmore at South Plaquemines.

This kid might be better than Landry. Very impressive film.

Sylve is a stud. Landry is already college ready. This kid from St. James sounds like a greek god, I want to see some film on him. Great class of WRs in LA next year.

Great looking prospect, Rivals 250 for sure, but he isn't to Landry's level.

Landry is a lock for a top 50 player nationally.

ETA: I hope we land them both though!

WR Class next year:
Jarvis Landry
Alonzo Lewis
Levander Liggins
Bradley Sylve

Call it a night.

Best receiving class ever if we pull it off?

Landry will be a top 25 player, most likely. That guy is fierce.

Sylve and Liggins will be good too, but Landry is a cut above both (no offense to them, because I think they're both legitimate players, Jarvis is just that good)

I would say Jarvis is a 5 star lock, but you never know with the way the services rank some guys. I think top 50 is playing it pretty darn safe.

I think he is a top 15 type talent.

I think he's a safe pick to call a 5* guy this early.

We've got at least 2 in state next year..Jermauria Rasco may well be in the top 10, then there's Hilliard and Collins and Freak Johnson.

It's going to be a good year in LA next year.

lynx, fyi, both sites are banging on him a little as a possible 5* bc he doesn't look tremendous on paper. Meaning, he isn't 6'3" and doesn't run a 4.3 40. So while I think he'll be in both Top 50s to start (or at least he better be), I don't think he's a 5* lock to begin.

I'm with you guys though, everything else about him is totally elite. Great hands, great route running, acrobatic, great running with the ball in his hands. Heck, IMO if he was a Senior THIS YEAR, he should be in the top 20 or so right now based on how they have rated that class.

Don't forget Jeremy Hill, who reminds me of Mike Ford a little in terms of both ability and style. He's bigtime.

Also, this Alonzo Lewis guy from St. James sounds like a damn freak. A guy on Pelicanpreps thinks he's as good as, or better, than Landry.

Dude, have you watched film of both? While I agree Bradley Sylve would be icing on the cake in the 2011 WR class (and the class in gerneral) Landry is a must get. And luckily this kid appears to be a much of a "lock" as Michael Ford was last year. The "soft" hands shown during his sophmore and camp films were incredible. He has the "it" factor. Sylve "may" prove to have that same factor in the near future. I truly hopw so. It's just that he's not in the same class of athletes as J. Landry yet. It's not all about "measureables.

Just saying.....and adding my $.002.

Yeah Landry is better than Sylve no doubt. But Sylve is a personal favorite of mine. I feel he can take over Trindon's role at LSU. He has two more years to get better.
