So ArkState is getting $1m to play at Auburn in 2010. Is it just me or is that ridiculously high?

For some reason, I thought non-conference games with crap opponents usually cost somewhere in the $350-500k range. I remember reading that, but don't remember how long ago that was.

So is this $1m amount in line with today's going rates, or is Auburn screwing all other BCS schools by setting a high precedent?

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that this is now the asking price for all non-BCS D1 teams.

I believe Arkansas paid Tulsa around 800k last year.... could be a new trend.

$1 mil seems a bit high. I also thought the going rate was around $500K. I guess all these lower tier schools got with their pimps and agreed to raise the price. Can't say much. Every school has a pay to win game (as I call them). UGA has Tenn. Tech in Athens this year. If I remember correctly, UGA is paying around $600-750 K.
