Miles will never get the respect he deserves from media, non-LSU fans, and LSU fans no matter what he does. If he wasn't so in to coach speak, he would be way more respected. People perceive him as a "goober" and think he is an idiot coach. He may act weird in front of media, but this is simply not the case.

It seems any currency Miles earned by leading LSU to the 2007 BCS title vanished with last season's 8-5 clunker that saw the Tigers go 3-5 in the SEC. Now, Miles seemingly has to prove himself all over again. And he'll do it with a rebuilt coaching staff. Talent is never an issue in Baton Rouge, but it's up to Miles to coach 'em up.
But seriously, who said that shite after UF won and went 8-4 and lost to fricking michigan?

Per Rivals
Gump Bias
Means Nothing.

The only thing $aban needs to prove is that he can provide more than a T shirts to the gumps.

Becasue he has won a NC, but hasn't quite built a dynasty yet.

He's a great coach, LSU will be back to the top soon.

as long as the rest of the country has a bad perception of miles, then no-one will pursue him hard. and this, my friend, is a very good thing for us. so, i say, keep on thinking he is a dumbass. it is to our advantage.

Steve Spurrier only for what he did forever ago at Florida. I know he was a good coach and all, but damn, he's 15-17 against the SEC in his first four seasons at Carolina and he's lost five or more games overall all four years.

Dienhart had Miles ranked 10th in the SEC in 2007, so in his eyes Miles is improving! Dienhart used to be at the Sporting News and has actually toned down his blogging style a little since Rivals hired him.

Unfairly, it is based on last years record and performance. They give him no credit for his past success. But you must admit, last year's team looked poorly coached and left the door open for that kind of criticism. It pains me to say because I Love Miles. With that said, he did what he had to do in the off-season with coaching changes and raked in a number one recruiting class.
