if the home games were played against better opposition. The only 'good' teams this year at home will be Florida and Auburn. The out of conference home games are not against 'good' teams.

Wasn't aware our home attendance needed to improve.

I don't think it's attendance as much people leaving early. The bandwagoners just can't seem to stick it out...

que angry poeple with reasons they leave early in 3...2...

As a season ticket holder, I would like to see more Virginia Tech's vs. ULL's. But it's not realistic. All the good teams want home games, thus the bad teams travel.

This is more of the point I was trying to make. The fact that we are lacking name ooc teams for home games. I am all for home and home, it is the fairest way to get it done. Also, we seem to be working our way around the Pac 10, so when do yall see us getting USCw?

We had home and homes with Arizona and Arizona State, and now Washington. Not sure it makes sense to play USC. Too much at stake.

That would be like chicken little if ask me. Do you think Testicled thinks this way? Maybe like the third game of the year or something.

The SEC is rough enough. A game like this should be the goal at the end of the season. It makes no sense to schedule potential losses and not give yourself a chance.

No, but USC certainly thinks this way. They tend to schedule these "big matchups" 3-4 years out, and their "tough" opponents are in the upper part of the top 25.

Check out their schedule a few years out:
2012 - Syracuse: real juggernaut this year.
2011 - Syracuse
2010 - Hawaii, Virginia (never been good / Hawaii 2007 season was a fluke)
2009 - San Jose State, Ohio State (ohio state was ranked 21st in the country when they scheduled this)
2008 - San Jose State, Ohio State (see above)
2007 - Idaho, Nebraska (Neb ranked #23 at time of scheduling).

about the only way attendance could improve is if LSU start's allowing 2 tickets per seat and we can sit on each other's laps.

The reason that you play cream puffs during the season is so that you can position yourself to play a USC in the post-season in a BCS bowl. LSU won't make near as much from a regular-season matchup with USC as they would when BCS dollars are at play. Besides, these games get scheduled years in advance. By the time it gets played, USC might suck (or LSU will suck, if you ask Feinbaum). By positioning for a BCS bowl, you guarantee that the OOC opponent will at least get respect and that you will get national exposure.

Would it be exciting to play them during the season? Sure.

Would it be the game of the week?

Absolutely.

Does it make financial sense?

Absolutely not.

Three in-state schools this year is absolutely ridiculous. Our "tough" OOC game this year is against a team that was 0-12 in 2008. The schedule makers at LSU are absolutely failing the team and the fans and there is NO excuse for this.

Did the LSU schedule people let down the fans when LSU beat the likes of Tulane and a couple of other no names on its way to its last BCS championship???

You mean no names like VTech? Last year and this year are just terrible, terrible jobs at scheduling no matter how you want to try and defend it.

So you would rather have seen LSU get creamed during the regular season by USC (or even Texas Tech) than have had LSU go to the Peach Bowl and dish out another blowout to a ranked team before a captive national tv audience?

How many losses do you think LSU would have had if your wishes had come true? Would they have even been bowl eligible?
