Basketball recruiting

I've heard that Trent is a quality recruiter, and I've no reason to doubt it. But I looked at Rivals (god I must be bored) and we only have two commitments, and only one of them is even ranked in the position rankings or the top 150. What's more, I don't even see us on the list for any of the uncommitted prospects. When does this process end for the '09-'10 freshmen, and when will we start seeing some quality recruiting classes? We're losing a bunch of guys this year and I am hoping we'll be able to land some quality young talent to start building with our new coach.

He was hired less than a year ago. You have to get in on these kids early or you're behind the 8 ball. The late signing period starts 4/15, so we'll see if he signs anymore than the two already signed.

Butch could have helped him for the first 2 years. Anyone know why Trent didn't want Butch?

That is correct. An offer was made and turned down. See the Tiger decommit thread on the rant.
Also the official signing day is in April.
