I am beginning to hate RPI more and more because the formula is oversimplified. There seems to big a difference between beating a bunch of bad teams and a bunch of awful teams. LSU beat awful teams and they are being punished for it. Bad team or awful team, who cares?

Also, I can't prove it but I have a sneaky suspicion that if we trade a win against Centenary with a loss to Duke our RPI might actually be higher.

I still can't believe that we(LSU) played 7 Louisiana school's in one season, i wonder if that has ever happened before?
That was an easy 7 wins, and it makes our record look great, however, it hurts us in the RPI department.

Thanks ..Intersting thread. The SOS is killing us but if we keep winning we will move up in the rankings.

This team has been playing great ..I am proud of them. They make the games fun. I havent said that in a while

Is this really a sportsbabe? If so, you need to come down to BR. LSU will probably end up in the low 30's in the RPI if they can keep these wins going.

Nolan actually ranks us #26 in his formula. The rank of 10 in his RPI chart shows that our overall winning percentage is a tie for 10th in that category.
