I tried to get on the same flight as some friends flying out of Dallas and it is full. I purchased the last 2 on another flight. That town is going to be overrun by Tiger fans.

Well you're flying out of Dallas. That's a pretty damn busy airport.

That has a lot more to do with full flights to Seattle than LSU fans filling the seats up.

Not really. The common link to the West Coast between BTR/MSY is American with a connection in Dallas.

I'm flying Alaska (AA codeshare) through O'hare, however.

Or the most common AA link between the eastern half of the US and West Coast.

Continental or Delta out of Baton Rouge or New Orleans would take you through Houston or Atlanta to get to Seattle respectively. Everyone isn't hitting up AA through Dallas to get to the game.

I have flew back a few times while at LSU. I have left Baton Rouge and connected through Dallas, Houston, Memphis and Atlanta. I would say try Houston if you can, Dallas is usually hell to have a layover in between that and Dallas. Houston goes through Continental and I think they still do snacks and movies. I hear some airlines have cut back on movies but I believe they are not one of them.

American thru Dallas is $165 cheaper than Continental thru Houston; both out of BTR

I realize this, but AA has more flights to the NW than Delta/Continental.

Also, Delta has very few flights that are Non-stop from ATL-SEA. I'd imagine most are routed through SLC. I wouldn't wish BTR-ATL-SLC-SEA on anyone when BTR-DFW-SEA is much more practical.

Also, AA's prices have been coming in the lowest so far. Don't know why CO or NW haven't matched prices on the route though...

Tell me about it.

I flew Delta from Baton Rouge to Anchorage, Alaska and back this summer. The trip there was fine: BTR-ATL-ANC.

But the return trip was ANC-LAX-ATL-BTR. Including a red-eye flight from LAX to ATL. That was memorable.

The worst part about those flights are when you fly over Baton Rouge, and then have to travel back.

What are you guys thoughts on booking flights right now without having tickets? I have season tickets, but I figure with a TAF ranking of near 5000 I probably won't get tickets that way. Do you think I'll be able to get tickets from Washington?

The went 0-12 and might be investigated for recruiting violations.

I'd say it's a fair bet you can buy them from Washington.

Book the flight. UW was so awful last year tickets should be easy to come by on a holiday weekend. LSU will probably be able to buy more from them if they use up their allotment (which is doubtful, IMO)

Just did a flight search @ Delta from August 30 to September 6 Round trip with Coach flexible seats from BR to Sea-Tac and pulled up 16 flights. 6 flights have layovers in Houston and the rest have layovers in Atlanta. Wasn't sure what type of seats people flying up were looking for, so I just took a minute to do a quick search.

One word of advice from someone who lives in the Seattle area and has been traveling home for the last 2 years - - Book as soon as you can. The flights maybe open one day and closed the next or not even existed later. Case in point; was booking tickets for Christmas 2008 and the seats would fill as I was trying to book or the price/frequent flyer miles would go up. Just a word of caution.

One last thing. Try to get a Delta flight!!!! I flew American one time and it was very bad. I will never fly American again. I will try another airline first or last resort go AmTrak.

Good Luck Tiger Nation booking flights and getting tickets to the game.

As always
