I put this link in another Thread, but I just wanted to make sure most everyone sees Saban's ethics. Can't wait to see the bama runts spin this one.

I have an idea, why doesn't he just go back to the Gump board. Their inferiority complexes and need to post over here just crack me up.

Believe it or not. The problem is that everyone still on our board with the exception of Montgomery and Jarvis Jones:

Randle
Sentimore
Mingo
Myles
Kelly

And everyone we're in danger of losing:

Jackson
Bell

is flirting with your staff too. So it turns this into bash Bama central.

I just read this article....wow...some people on the team will be pissed off when they get "magically" booted off the team to make way for a new guy.

Which of course makes his number 1 recruiting class last year a farce.

They might not have been #1 but they were pretty damn good. And their 2009 class will be pretty damn good too. I think Bama will have an off-year next year but they'll be pretty damn good in 2010.

Just a thought here but why do you think that LSU fans keep linking this same painful article?

My guess would be that they are continuing to link it to ridicule and vex Bama fans. By responding as you have, we may now see this article 18 more times. That's how this game is played.

Just a thought, but should Sean Payton be vilified for cutting Aaron Brooks? Brooks was the former regime's savior but he didn't fit in with what Payton wanted from the QB position. How is this any different? It's not like Saban is pulling scholarships from players HE recruited. It happens at every school. LSU has signed over 100 players over the past 4 years. How is this possible with the 85 scholarship limit? You definitely don't see any Alabama fans writing an article about it.

No. Everyone wanted him to go.

Kids are told they can have a schooly if they perform academically and play football. As long as they are living up to thier end of the bargin, the commitment by the school should be honored as well. Not cut because the coach wants to bring in new guys.

Check out our 2005 recruiting class. We only had 13 commits. (It probably didn't help that Saban left us high and dry in the middle of recruiting season) That was a number crunch year for us.

We have attrition and early drafties as most schools, including Bama, do. But I can't think of anyone that Miles cut outright to bring underclassmen in.

and neither has Saban. So until he does, maybe we shouldn't speculate

We are all fans. Speculation is the only thing we can do. Should we sign that guy? Is this guy better than that guy? We should have called a run on that third down play!!!

This is just another interesting thing to watch to see how the numbers will work out in this situation. Nothing wrong with bringing it to light and discussing it.

I'm with ya, Suntiger. Its part of the game. And speculation isn't neccesarily bad, just seems there has already been a trial, conviction, and sentencing without any evidence being presented.

Good! Thats more opportunity for recruits/parents to see how Saban "rolls" in regards to recruiting. It will catch-up with him soon enough. It shows his "lack" of commitment to his commitments!

Spurrier cut players his first year in Columbia. He was (rightfully) crucified for it. It seems as though Saban will have to do the same thing unless someone can explain how to turn 7 schollies into 25. And when he does, LSU fans and every other SEC fan will crucify him for it. Why? Well besides being wrong, it is important for potential Bama recruits to realize that Saban's "commitment" to them only goes so far. It's just competition and we're just exploiting the weakness of your coach--his lack of character.
