I absolutely love Tulane and LSU baseball.
Up or down, I'm happy to see either team among the nation's best.
Looks like LSU is destined for a wonderful season.

Tulane Baseball - Louisiana's Best Since 1998 (16-13 v. LSU)

Tulane Baseball...still desperate for a National Championship and some national recognition.

In that time span...LSU 2000 National Championships...you can have your meaningless record against us...I will take out 5 NC's in a decade.

a 16-13 record makes them the best in the state? if he really knew anything about baseball he'd know how meaningless that stat is.

honestly he probably does he just likes to rile up the rant.

If this is the case, then I don't blame him because that can be fun (albeit an easy task).

...or he could be a typical Tulane Baseball fan with a case of penis envy.

mean·ing·less:
1: having no meaning ; especially : lacking any significance
2: having no assigned function in a language system

Tulane is 16-13 v. LSU in the last 10 years - a significant, if not surprising, stat...given the excitement the recent rivalry has stirred among LA baseball fans.

As a childhood LSU/Tulane baseball fan, I'm completely aware of the NCs ('91, '93, '96, '97 and '00 v. Tulane's 0), the CWS appearances (14 v. Tulane's 2), the '09 preseason rankings/expectations, etc.

16-13 really isnt much to brag about, considering it'll be 16-15 after this year. Tulane will not beat LSU.

significant..no

surprising..no

but you're right a 16-13 head to head advantage is much more impressive than 4 CWS(unless im counting wrong) and a NC.

I am so ready for some Tiger baseball. I'm really excited to see LSU return to the National stage as one of the elite programs again. Not that we were not elite but we did have a few down years.

Return to Omaha in 09.

So, does this truly mean that Tulane is Louisiana's best? Nationally speaking, which team has done more over the last 10 years? So, I guess you could argue that Tulane is better on the state level while LSU is better on the national level? It's a no-brainer which one I would prefer...

We'll see.
At the very least, I hope for two great games.

Absolutely, no one is arguing Tulane has a greater national presence, history, etc.
I'm just proud of Louisiana baseball.

I think it's funny how before last year..when LSU would play Tulane for about a 5-6 year stretch everyone went and now with the recent success everyone is lookin down on Tulane again. Anyone who acts like Tulane isn't one of the BEST teams in the state is clueless. year in and year out they put together a quality team and I myself look forward to playing them every season.
