Taking the wife to Ninfa's tonight. Any suggestions as to what to get? I've only been there once, but I remember it being fairly good. What say you?

Steak Fajita Enchiladas are great. Also if you get fajitas order the Jackie, not the Monte- they never give you double the meat on the Monte like the menu says and on the Jackie, they always give more than 1/4 pound of meat.

or a meal. When I was at LSU, I could get another whole meal out of the leftovers from one order of quesos. They also reheat well in the microwave. We were there recently though and the prices have definitely gone up quite a bit. The quesos used to be one of the cheaper menu items. Now, I think they are about $11 or so.

The Monte Fajita Platter is a solid choice.

You can get your fajitas as chicken, pork, steak, or just one or two of those. Their fajita steak is excellent, but with all three, you get variety. The Monte also comes with rice, charro beans (you can opt for refried), Chile con Queso, and a tostada filled with sides (guacamole, sour cream, etc). They also bring you their excellent handmade tortillas for making tacos as you need them.

So if you're looking for a bit of variety, by all means try the Monte. Otherwise, the taco al carbon there is good, and the queso fundido tastes good and looks nice if someone experienced makes it for you at your table.

Those carrots are re-used each day- I wouldn't touch them if you paid me. At the end of the shift, they dump them all out into a big pan, and then re-fill the jars the next day with the same carrots.

I have yet to touch those things.

When I'm bored, I hold one over my table's candle.

I think I'm going to go with the Tacos Al Carbon, no carrots, a Ninfitini, and a queso appetizer... Thanks everyone
