Have heard this on radio this week, hate to see that happen in his first year, specially since he's been (allegedly) handcuffed with the punt-ugly formation, and the misfortune to be cursed with an electrifying return man who's speed is matched only by muffing/ poor decision making skills.

I played for him in HS at CHSPC, and he was a hellofa intense, get-in-your-grill type of coach with a keen eye for defense. I would hope that he gets more time to develop special teams play than be judged on a ho-hum effort this season-'specially if he has been as limited by CLM as was reported.

He's leaving because of his own will.

McCarthy wanted to leave last year for the NFL. He interviewed and didn't get the job so he stayed on the staff. Some assistants are just transients.

Lane was on the hot seat. He's trying to land a job back in Florida. Stud and Peveto are interviewing for head coaching spots. Whether Mallory and Peveto (if he doesn't get the HC gig) stay is up to the new DC.
