Let him go if he wants out.

I doubt if we'll hear anything at all on the subject past pure speculation unless:
*BelowPar mentions it
or
*He up and quits at which point you can draw your own conclusions

If Crowton leaves, we're dead. That means that there are serious problems and they won't be solved until Miles is gone.
Who would want to come here if that happened?
The Co-DC thing can be seen as an aberration and a fixable problem. It was a one year experiment that backfired. Combine that with freshmen QB's and you have a recipe for disaster, which is what we had. But, it is fixable.
If our National Championship winning OC bails, we are done, because it means that the problems are at the top and that is not fixable until we start over.
I hope it is just a stupid rumor.

Hell yeah, I hope that's just a rumor.
I only started hearing it today...anybody know why Crowton would be unhappy?

Les is over-riding his playcalling
Coordinators usually dont care for that too much
Posted on 11/30/08 at 1:34 am to DanglingFury
Mebbe he doesn't have enough control of the offense?

I hadn't heard that. I hope not...
ETA: Are you speculating, or is that the word around the campfire?

I hadn't heard that.

is this true???
b/c I remember people saying the same thing about Dumbo Fisher

Ummmm ... let's see, LSU had a disappointing, crappy season. Crowton won't win any awards for not adjusting his play-calling at critical times given the lack of experience of his QBs.
So, lemme get this straight, half, if not the majority of the people on the Rant bitch about how CLM is just a "CEO on the sidelines" who "manages things", righto?
While Miles may or may not have ever over-ridden Crowton or Fisher - it's nothing more than speculative rumor at this point - if he did so at some point because he felt the play-calling was exceeding the experience of his QB, this would tick off everyone who bitches that he's only a dolt and/or "CEO on the sidelines", yes?
Go figure.

We don't know this.
If true, it would be a real issue. Be there is nothing but rumor on this so far.
