Guy's I am not here deflecting critisim from Lee's onfield mantra of learning the game, but I find it equally embarressing that we (offensive unit) can not stop a defender from returning it 50+ yards on several occasions this season. Never in my life have I seen an offense that does not know how to defend a turnover. Granted you do not script defending passes in practice but jeez have a little pride and stop some after adversity. It just amazes me that when other teams turn the ball over they defend, am I missing something here?

well,
you can't expect 350 pound lineman to do anything once it gets in the open field.
the recievers are behind the play and playing catch up.
that leaves the rb maybe if he stayed back,
the qb won't try

so the chances are usually pretty good if the guy intercepting is not crowded by people when he makes the int.

No doubt, we have given up some serious return yds on a few of these pick 6's. They're not the garden varity, jump the out route and cruise in. These cats are looking like all world punt returners.

that kinda burned me up as well, the turn over is one thing, but letting it go so far back is another.

I can understand the interceptions, it part of him learning the game at this level (look at UGA Staffords first year stats), but it just appears there is a lack of effort in stopping a return. If I am a coach from here on out I put nine men in the box force a interception and return it, being it appears to be a little easier to score on the offense.

Most of the INTs were very returnable for TDs Lee is not the guy to take this team to a SEC CG or BCS bowl.

I am not defending the guy, I am one who questions his manhood when we need three yards for a first down and he appears scared to run the f-ing football. 50 yard returns on the other hand is a seperate entity on its own.

Most huh? The one this week was not, the one against Tulane was not, the 2nd one against UGA was not.

Hmmmm whatever, go fight on

I dont think anyone is defending him, we should have stopped several of them from getting inside the 20. That's a fact.

The one against TU was surely returnable. The one against UGA (2nd one) was 50/50, IMO. So yes. Lee's passes have been poor this year. It is not a coincidence that he has thrown so many INT's and that so many been returned for TDs so far. Whatever. Go, Geaux Tigers.

ACtually, it's an opinion.

For what it matter's there was not a QB on this current roster who has the necessary tools to take this team to elite status and I am not sure that RP would have gotten us there.

I think we should line up Chad Jones 15 yards behind Lee as a safety on offence

Correction, Lee is not the guy to take this team to a SEC CG or BCS bowl THIS YEAR.

It is also unfair for this team to expect its freshman qb to take it to the SEC CG or BCS bowl game.

While the defense certainly stepped it up against Bama, this is one of the few games our defense actually showed up.

Next year y'all have no idea how he will be.

Perhaps a more fair statement would be

Our defense is not the defense to take this team to an SEC CG or BCS bowl game.
