I know it worked against us with GA, but should we let him do another 1st play of the game pick 6, get it out of his system, and hope he does better. He has basically done that is the other games. Played somewhat better after the interception, excluding last week.

NO! and if they want to pass at least do a Hail Mary where we have time to tackle the guy if we don't catch it!

maybe our offense should get some practice time at defense so they can tackle better. that should cut down the pick 6's.

If we let him throw two of them to start the game, does that mean he won't throw any in the Troy game either?

This thread is, like, da bomb.

Just looking to shake things up a bit.

LSU plays better from behind, etc., etc., yada, yada

He really does play better after the interception, however the defense seems to decline.

I think instead of throwing an intentional pick 6, we should have him pump fake to a quick, short route, then throw it deep to Byrd the first play of the game. Sure, it could be picked off or incomplete, but his confidence wouldn't really decline going for a big play on first down.

If the WR catches it, Lee will be very, very confident the rest of the game; if it's not caught I think Lee would still gain the confidence that the coaches believe he can throw the ball down the field.

Oh and as for the OP's idea: it's idiotic.

i liked the call of letting him pass on first down. my problem with the call was having 4 wide receivers on the field so the defense was waiting for it. We should have put Scott in the I and play-actioned passed down the field.

The kid's got talent - the fact is, more than likely, he's not going to get over it this year. He's a redshirt freshmen - that's what they do!

Nope.

When he threw that Pick 6 against Ga. I literally FELT and SAW the fight go out of the defense.

Last thing they need is more bad news. Bout time for something good to happen for them.

We do need to teach our offensive players to be more aggressive in their tackling

Problem is if you look at the receiver leaving the huddle, at the line and after the snap, it is pretty hard to look off that guy and look down field for another receiver. Also, don't forget to point at the guy you are throwing to. Don't forget to throw it behind him or over his head so the safety has a good shot.

After I think about it, maybe he could do that and we do shuffle pass to the back. We could use his weakness as a strength. I believe Sun Tsu said that.

Really bored at work, I must say.

I don't want him at QB anyway. he is so bad they should put murphy or williams at wild tiger all game and run it down their crimson throats!
