i still say that hurricanes disrupted our season- caused qb to not get ready and we had a choppy start to season due to poor schedule line up- comments

No, but I heard Ole Miss has some room in their fanbase. Because that sounds like the crap they would make up.

If true, can the fans get reimbursed by FEMA for that?

Hurricane also impacted our teams in 2005. We did fine.

It was going to affect the fact that we weren't going to be able to rest after Bama and the last couple of the weeks of the season, instead we will play 8 weeks in a row, BUT the fact that that is the reason we are not playing well right now is just downright crazy

The hurricane may have disrupted this team, but it did not have but a small fraction of the impact that Katrina did. The biggest culprit of the down season has to do with the every other year SEC road schedule, and pedominantly because we lost an NFL-rostered QB, WR, two corners, a LB, a D-lineman, and a very heady safety. Blame it on a ton of things, but you just can't succeed every year in the SEC at the highest level. You can't even do it in the PAC-10 with virtually no competition.
It's a down year, but we will be back.

In 2005, LSU went 10-1 in the regular season with Hurricane Katrina forcing a formidable home game, Arizona State, to an away game and moving Tennessee to a Monday night game after little practice.
In 2008, LSU is currently 5-2 in the regular season with Hurricane Gustav forcing a not-so-formidable home game against Appalachian State to start at 10 AM, moved another not-so-formidable home game to an open date in mid-November, and forced the Tigers to play yet another not-so-formidable home game with more practice than the Tennessee game in 2005.
Less impact and worse results -- no way the hurricanes can be blamed for this.
