Looking for a rifle in a youth model for my 9 yr old daughter. Was going to go with a .243 but not sure about the make. Looked at the Savage Axis. Anybody have any experience with the Savage? Any other suggestions?

Savage makes excellent rifles for the money. .243 or 7mm08 would be the best. That's all I've got.
