I live in the lafayette area. Where can I pick up some free wooden pallets for a project I'm doing?

if you want to drive to Jackson, MS I can put you on a truckload of them...a company near where I work burns a big pile of them about every months...

Check your local grocery stores. A lot of times they are swimming in them.

Any oil field related shop on the south side of town will have them laying around.

I saw a bunch of them a few weeks ago, turn by the Canebrake neighborhood sign off of Pinhook (about half a mile past the Verot intersection). When you get to the stop sign take a right. There's about 3-4 companies down there with pallets laying around everywehre. I'm sure if you asked they would give you some

I would recommend making sure the pallet is stamped "HT" for heat treated. Otherwise they are treated with methyl bromide.

Sounds like you need to meet a middle man. Guy I know makes a grand a month taking pallets from grocery stores on his route and then selling them. 1.50 a piece.
