The wife used to hunt many years ago. Last time I took her in the stand with me, we had 4 nice bucks walk out. Gave her the rifle to shoot. She didn't want to. Screw that. Took the rifle and shot. Two bucks hit the ground.

I'll tell you one trick I do. Everytime I bring the wife with me I kill a deer
She eventually gets cold and starts bitching so I tell her to hop on the 4 wheeler and head back to the camp.
I think the deer hear the 4 wheeler leave and think I'm gone and end up coming out

I enjoy gator hunting with my husband and have gone spearfishing but I don't go deer hunting or anything like that. He needs that alone time in the woods to relax and to enjoy being in the woods.
I fully support his hunting by making quite a few items that he uses in the woods. I have sewn camo curtains for his ground blind, a comfy camo "nest" for the tree-stand, neoprene guncases, etc. He just tells me what he needs and I make it.
I would enjoy going to the camp with him but we have no camp. We live so close to where he hunts that he only has to hop on the 4 wheeler and take a 10 minute ride to get into the deep woods. I miss the old days when I had a husband who would go to the camp for the weekend while I stayed home and had amazing slumber parties for the kids.

This. A girl dating you will give you that to convince you that you have found the best girl in the world. BJ in the shooting house...sounds like heaven right? After you are married she won't go hunting, won't give BJ's, and will gripe when you go hunting.

My wife and my daughter are in the stand now. I'm on the couch with my iPad, bloody Mary, belly full of eggs and The Karate Kid. Haven't heard a shot and hope I don't. I don't feel like cleaning anything.
Ok now I'm getting up to pour another bloody Mary. Danielson just got his arse kicked.
