We may get an opportunity to do some duck hunting while there

SD is a lottery state for non-resident waterfowl. You would have needed to apply for the lottery over the summer...

The duck hunting will be in North Dakota, sharp tail, prairie chicken, Huns, and pheasant in SD.

How big is she? I was looking at a breeder in Mississippi and the female is only 40 pounds. Kind of small to be to picking up ducks and running through a rice field all morning I'm thinking.

More about the dogs heart than its physical size to a point. I have seen 40 pound dogs that didn't have an ounce of quit in them and could pick up ducks all day everyday. I wouldn't let a 40 pound mother deter me from the litter if everything else checked out fine
