Looking for ideas on a budget that would work in Louisiana soil. Thinking shipping container, but the moisture in the gound would be a problem I think. Help a brotha out.

Shipping container will be the cheapest.
Why a bomb shelter though? Call it a doomsday bunker. Bomb shelters are so 1980s

You are going to provide some kind of budget... Shipping container is a no go, it is not designed to hold the weight of the soil... How big?

She said bomb shelter. I guess I should clarify if she means long term live in or just just a tornado shelter.

50's and 60's. My uncle had one, a real one just outside Pearlington, MS. Had submarine like doors and could sleep like 12 people underground.
He bought it mostly for the land and boat access, not as an actual shelter. It was pretty cool.

From what I've read, they are able to support quite a bit of weight. I guess depending on how deep you wanted to bury it would make the difference.

Nope. It's definitely not a pressure vessel. They can handle a good bit on the corners (why you see them stacked on ships so high) but the roof/walls aren't made to hold much. A fat man walking on top of one can make the roof flex

Paranoid, is she?
I'm making her that way. I've been watching all the doomsday prepper type shite and reading books. I think it's getting in her head that some shite might one day go down. If I could get her to convert her clothes budget to guns I'd be set
