To go shoot my damn AR, it's about 100 bucks a pop. That's crazy to me. What's some good sites to buy 556 ammo?

For a hundred dollars a round I'll personally deliver you ammo in a french maid outfit.

I personally only shoot brass cased and I mostly run Wolf brass through my machine guns since it is cheapest. If you want to shoot tight groups go with match ammo. I find my rifles like Blackhills 67 gr SMKs and the faster 55gr vmax from Hornady.

Without knowing what you have its hard to say. You can cycle thru a couple of different brands to see what shoots best and then stay with that.

That's 0.29/round. Last time I got a bunch of brass cased wolf it was 0.28/round and came 1,000 rounds in a metal ammo can.

Because companies realized that people still bought ammo when it was expensive, so they just kept it there

Steel case will be around $0.25/round
Brass case will be around $0.33/round

With brass you can reload or sell the brass to someone that does. If you just looking to shoot get TulAmmo or Wolf Steel case. Its cheap. Google should help you find some and possibly a little cheaper.
