One of my dad's friends, when cleaning squirrels, would tell him, I'll watch my hands...you watch yours.

This was years ago before squirrel cleaners.

Pretty sure they would have some serious law suits if coating the blades in poison was a step in production. Would kinda be like an ammo manufacturer throwing one round in every thousand just just completely explodes when the primer is struck, just a little surprise. Doubt that company would stay open very long.

You might actually be onto something here. Could add a whole nother challenge to target shooting. Good luck not flinching after watching someone else blow their fingers off.

I was raised to believe that it was bad to cut another person with a knife regardless of if it was a new knife, old knife, or butter knife.

Why in the hell did I open this thread? Now I am gonna die because I cut myself with my new knife the same day I bought it three days ago.

I think I should rush to the ER now! Someone call 911 just in case I don't make it to the ER.

Yes, in today's litigious society it is ok for knife makers to sell a product that is covered with poison.

I tell you what is not fun is cleaning a deer with a brand new sharp as shite knife and cutting yourself and not knowing if the blood is yours or the deers.

Pow Pow used to say this. I think it revolved around the idea that if you cut yourself with a new knife that meant you and the knife had bad karma together. Kinda like catching the clap from the chic that takes your V-card, you wouldn't continue to engage in activity with that knife/girl.
