Am I the only one who believes that blowing through duck ponds with airboats at night shooting everything you see should be illegal? Who says these bastards stop during duck season?

What if duck hunting interrupts something I like to do, should that be outlawed?

I had another guy in my boat catch a bigger fish than me a while back. Having a second fisherman in your boat should be outlawed!

You don't have your hunting areas gated off?

You poor people are the worst.

I hate it. We find fish scarred up and dead undersized reds all of the time near my place. It’s like shing deer no doubt.

No you're right. My post was poorly worded. I have had problems with bowfisherman (particularly airboats) running through my lease at night in the past. I understand that is more a trespassing issue but I'm sure it's done widespread. It can be very hard to regulate considering they are fishing at 2 in the morning. Not to mention that redfish are the only game fish allowed to be harvested with bow and arrow? And what happens to fish that are shot that happen to be under 16"? They are just thrown back with a gaping hole? The whole sport just appears to be extremely destructive in my opinion.

Ugh, how is it ignorant to say throwing back a redfish with a giant hole in it is destructive?

Now saying that, it would be pretty hard to hit a 14" red

I'm not a fan of bowfishing. More I just don't like doing it all that much. Used to go a lot when my cousin had a boat and after a few trips, it was just lost on me I guess. But I will say, out of all the trips I went on, not once did anyone shoot an undersized red. Not sure if it was just luck, if we were all smart enough to not shoot at anything close, or if it's already hard to hit reds and being small only made it harder. But it was never an issue.

I've honestly never done it. I hear it is fun though.
