Well I've been planning on going since last year. And then last night my gf goes bananas when I tell her I'm going. Has a fricking break down because she doesn't have to work this weekend and Im going to hunt in the morning.

the correct thing to do is go anyway. have fun dealing with that crap, after doing what you want a few times and not putting up with that crap, she'll get the idea. don't be a beta.

Here's your chance to decide if you need to end this relationship or not. Go hunting. If she brings it up more than 1 hour after you return, GTFO of the relationship. It won't get better with time. My wife may not realize it, but a large part of my deciding to engage in a long-term relationship with her many years ago had to do with the fact that her father hunted and fished all of her life, and she accepted the fact that's just what men do. Any woman who thinks a man HAS TO be home with her on a day off is batshit crazy and should be avoided at all costs. I don't care if she's a 10 with dump trucks full of $100 bills. Run.

oh yeah, went hunting in Mississippi this morning. Heard one turkey. About the time he poked his head over a log and I was about to kill him I let him take one more step and realized it was a jake. 5th jake I've called up in the last week. I'm not hunting tomorrow, but will hunt in Mississippi Sunday, Louisiana Tuesday thru Thursday, then back to Mississippi on Good Friday.

Went this morning to scout didn't hear a bird. But on my way out I stopped the truck hopped out to check a food plot. Walked 10 yards looked down the shooting lane and there was a nice bird strutting at about 50 yards.
