We have an 04 cat d 3 that just does the same thing for us as u are describing. Never had a need for a bigger dozer to work at the place. Easy maintenance except that front fuel filter is kind of a pain to change

It honestly sounds like you should seriously be looking at a D21 Kamatsu for what you will be using it for. They are great lightweight machines perfectly suited for what you described.
As an added bonus they are towable with a pickup truck and trailer. JMHO
