Who considers themselves a prepper?

Just wondering? With the assault on the second amendment and the current state of affairs for the fed Govt. I may have to start a few preps of my own.

Not just the current attack on the 2nd, but the fiscal cliff issue, terrorism, an EMP, the potential for a solar flare knocking us back to the 19th century, our food and farming, and just natural disasters in general should I think cause us to want to have some kind of contingency plan for bugging out and/or holding up with provisions, and fending off the lowest common denominator in life if everything breaks down.
I don't buy into one particular scenario. I think a general readiness for whatever happens is the best recipe, or as good as you can do.

I don't have a bug out bag, but I have decided to start stockpiling ammo.

I don't consider myself a prepper but I do heavily plan for hurricanes as my baseline. I figure that is something with a high probability of use.
Prepare for a hurricane on the extreme and you should be covered for most things. I have a evacuation plan for both on foot and in my truck which includes a BOB but my first option is stay in place as long as possible.

I am, but I don't talk about what I have or don't have for obvious reasons.

I'm just gonna join up with the zombies on z-day. I have less than 10 rounds of ammo for each gun

I am more the anti-prepper. I am prepping to come and attack anyone who actually preps and steal their gear. I just have a lot of guns and ammo.

I don't read GQ or shop Eddie Bauer, so no, I guess I'm not.

I'm starting to come around to this idea more and more. I don't think anyone can prepare for Armageddon type scenarios but anything that would temporarily damage infrastructure could be bad news for those that aren't ready for it.
Unfortunately it's an expensive hobby when it comes to guns and ammo. A case of .308 just set me back 825$

Only thing I have enough of on hand is defense. I also plan for hurricanes in which I have enough non perishable food in the house for a week or so. We have property that is pretty remote with a house on it. 10 acre stocked pond/plenty of wildlife on it that can sustain my family for quite a long time. I can get there in about 1 hour at high speeds or 1.5 at the speed limits.
