Due to the recent official declaration that the cougar is now extict in the eastern U.S. , I'm wondering if anyone here has actually witnessed cougars in the Florida Parishes either in person or on trail cams.

Myself, my cousin Ray-Ray, and my sister (wife) Raylene have all seen multiple cougars... but they've all been black.

Are you joking? If they were black you haven't seen a cougar.

He referred to his cousin Ray-ray and his sister/wife Raylene.

I nearly got attacked by a cougar taking out the trash one time. Good thing I always keep a stash of cat nip just in case and used it to my distraction advantage.

Not east of the Mississippi, but I have seen one in Avoyelles Parish in the 1970~s, distance about 50 yards. I heard them screaming before daylight many times in that section of swamp.

My dad also saw one on the Cane River while fishing, distance 20 feet.

I know there are many who will doubt this, but it is absolutely true.
