It will be for me too this season but I'll take it seriously since I don't have another place to hunt

I just keep my fingers crossed for that possible invite to deer wonderland. I missed it last year and my freezer is empty.

Them you've only hunted a few times you fricking drunk. You know you can't go that long without boozing. At the very least you pull a few hard swigs on your way out.

No shame here buddy.

Nothing for me outside of what was already mentioned.

My buddy has a blind where he keeps a small propane grill. He cooks jimmy dean's while duck hunting...literally shoots with meat on the grill. I try to finish before him so I can visit him on the way out for breakfast

For a pee bottle I use one of those rubber hot water bottles (really more like a bag) that you are supposed to put ice or hot water in for a headache. It barely takes up any space in your backpack when empty and has a wide opening and leakproof cap. Just have to empty and clean out after.

Haven't hunted in 25+ years, but when I used to hike the Smokys
I'd bring:
2 apples
2- poptarts
2- packs of peanut butter crackers
2- kit kats
and a canteen of water/powerade mixed 50/50.

I thought you hunted around the rich soils of the Mississippi river plain?

Avoyelles or Concordia one right?

Usually eat a couple granola bars, sometimes if we have to get to the hole super early I'll eat a sausage biscuit before we go. Usually have some coffee before the hunt, and bring water with me. And oh yeah, STOGIES!!
