I can attest to this statement, based on the guides I've fished with.

He worked his arse off one time with us and the west wind was brutal, like 30 mph for 48 hours straight. We finally found a patch of calm water in the MRGO and they had a 16' John boat full of 5 full grown cane pole bream fishermen come less than 15' from out boat with the throttle wide open on their 15 hp outboard motor. Mark lost his shite and I really thought we were going to war at sea that day.

My dad has fished with Mark numerous times. I can't repeat what he told those guys that day, but I often think about it and can't stop laughing. He's an intense fella for sure.

Redfish Lodge of Louisiana LINK
Capt Mike Frenette knows the delta like the back of his hand and his wife Lori will cook up some delicious meals.

When are you going? If its this summer and the specks are on the beach, it's hard to beat going out of the coco marina. Nice rooms, pretty good food, charter's right by your room, and the margarita's and bushwackers aren't too shabby.

Over in that area Erik Rue with Calcasieu Charters or the Poe's with Big Lake charters are great choices. Both have lodging right by the water

If you use Bill Lake chances are you wont be fishing with Bill Lake.

I booked him once and he had us fishing with Capt Travis Lovell with Reelingoodcharters

I use Travis exclusively now. He has been a great guide and good to his word. He can set you up with camps, meals etc for the trip.

Can't remember the name but we stayed at a place in port sulphur that was nice. Pretty sure they had 3 bay boats. It was a good time and very reasonable.
